This Cookie Policy explains how FROGGY x MEDIA ("we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on froggyxmedia.com (the "Site"), what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — perform comparable functions, and references to "cookies" in this policy include them.
Cookies are described as first-party when set by the site you are visiting, and third-party when set by another domain whose content the site loads. They are session cookies when deleted as soon as you close your browser, and persistent when they remain for a set period.
2. How we use cookies
We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. The Site is a single-page presentation of our work and services; it has no user accounts, no shopping basket and no login. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies, or choose category by category. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary is set until you choose, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. We do not sell data collected through cookies.
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Site to function and to stay secure. They cannot be switched off through a consent tool, and under EU rules they do not require your consent. They cover things such as maintaining your session, balancing load across servers, and protecting forms against abuse.
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which we use solely to tell real enquiries apart from automated spam. It runs invisibly in the background on the Site and collects hardware and software information — including device and application data, IP address and interaction behaviour — which is sent to Google for analysis. Google may set cookies or read existing Google cookies in your browser as part of that analysis. We use the result only as a spam score; we do not use it for advertising or profiling. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2.2 Functional
These support features you would notice the absence of. In particular, the Site stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage (under the name fxm_consent) so that it does not ask you again on every visit. The choice is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again. It is not used to track you across other websites.
2.3 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand which sections of the Site are read, how visitors arrive, and where they leave, so we can improve the Site. We also record a small number of interactions: opening the quotation form, sending an enquiry (the fact that it was sent and the service chosen; never your name or message, and your email address only in the hashed form described under Google Ads in section 2.4) and starting a WhatsApp chat. The information is aggregated and used for statistical purposes, and detailed analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
Analytics cookies are only set if you accept the Analytics category. If you do not, we use Google's Consent Mode: the Google tag still sends Google basic signals without cookies or identifiers (for example that a page was viewed, with the device type and approximate country), which Google uses to produce aggregate, modelled statistics. No cookie is read from or written to your device in that case.
2.4 Advertising
We advertise on Google, Instagram and Facebook. If you accept the Marketing category, we use:
- Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited), through the same Google tag, to measure which ads lead to enquiries and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site. When you send an enquiry, we may also pass Google a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of the email address you entered, so that Google can match the enquiry to an ad you saw while signed in to a Google account ("enhanced conversions"). Google uses it to measure our ads, not to identify you to us, as described in Google's enhanced conversions help page
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), to measure the same for our Instagram and Facebook ads and to build audiences for them. Meta receives the pages you view on the Site and the fact that you sent an enquiry or started a WhatsApp chat, together with technical data such as your IP address and browser, and may link this to your Instagram or Facebook account. We and Meta are joint controllers for collecting this data on the Site and passing it to Meta; Meta is solely responsible for what it does with it afterwards, as described in Meta's Privacy Policy
None of these advertising tools is loaded or set if you reject the Marketing category.
3. Third-party services that may set cookies
The Site loads a small number of resources from third-party networks in order to render correctly. These providers necessarily receive your IP address and basic technical information when the resource is requested, and may set their own cookies under their own policies:
| Provider | What it is used for | More information |
|---|---|---|
| Tailwind CSS (cdn.tailwindcss.com) | Delivers the styling framework used to lay out the Site | tailwindcss.com |
| cdnjs / Cloudflare | Delivers the GSAP animation library used for scroll and motion effects | cloudflare.com |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the Montserrat web font used in quotations and testimonials | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google reCAPTCHA v3 | Protects the contact form from automated spam submissions (see section 2.1) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Analytics and Google Ads | Audience measurement, ad measurement and remarketing, according to your choices (see sections 2.3 and 2.4) | How Google uses data |
| Meta Pixel (Meta) | Ad measurement and audiences for Instagram and Facebook, only with Marketing consent (see section 2.4) | facebook.com/privacy |
| WhatsApp (Meta) | Only if you click through to start a WhatsApp conversation with us | whatsapp.com/legal |
| Instagram and Facebook (Meta) | Only if you follow a link from the Site to our social profiles | facebook.com/privacy |
We do not control the cookies set by these providers. Please consult their policies for details of what they collect and how long they retain it.
4. How long cookies last
Session cookies are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. The cookies the Site itself sets, depending on your choices, are:
| Name | Provider and category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| fxm_consent (local storage) | FROGGY x MEDIA · Functional | Remembers your cookie choice | 12 months |
| _ga | Google Analytics · Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics · Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads · Marketing | Links visits to ad clicks to measure conversions | 90 days |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel · Marketing | Distinguishes visitors for Instagram and Facebook ads | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta Pixel · Marketing | Stores the click ID when you arrive from an Instagram or Facebook ad | 90 days |
Third-party providers listed in section 3 may also set cookies on their own domains, for the lifetimes set out in their policies. You can inspect and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
5. How to control cookies
You can accept, refuse or delete cookies at any time. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working properly.
5.1 In your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, and offers a private or incognito mode that discards them at the end of a session:
5.2 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Where your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an objection to non-essential cookies: the cookie banner is not shown and nothing beyond the strictly necessary is set. You can still opt in through Cookie Settings if you wish.
5.3 Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link at the foot of our home page, or directly here: change your cookie settings. When you withdraw consent for a category, the Site deletes the cookies it set for that category and stops sending the related data.
6. Changes to this policy
We review this Cookie Policy whenever we change the technologies used on the Site. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the "Last updated" date shown above.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies or this policy can be sent to [email protected] or via WhatsApp on +357 99 116762.
